How port charges are paid at the Port of Guanta: Circular 002-2026, currently in force

The circular, issued in the framework of the organizational, operational and logistics restructuring of Bolipuertos and signed by its President, Contralmirante Germán Edoardo Gómez Lárez, is addressed to all shipping lines, vessel agents, customs agents and consignees operating at the public commercial ports the company administers. As of September 2026 it remains active and is the operative reference for how port charges are settled at Guanta.

Two practical points matter for carriers and cargo interests planning a call. First, the billing counterpart: port services at Guanta are invoiced directly by Bolipuertos, S.A. Second, the payment channel: the circular provisionally keeps in force the established channels for payments in foreign currency, which it designates as Importadora y Transporte GONAVI and Servicios Logísticos OCK, while payments in national currency are made directly to Bolipuertos in the cases where that applies.

On the calculation basis: in line with the instructions of Bolipuertos management, port charges for cargo services under the official tariff resolution of Gaceta Oficial N° 41.227 are applied on a Revenue Ton basis, meaning weight or measure, whichever is greater, at the Port of Guanta and across the ports under Bolipuertos administration.
